I'm grateful for Carrots and Carats.
Today I dug up my carrots. 5# in all out of 2 tiny 4' rows.
It was a very sad day for me in February when I realized my Past, Present & Future diamond ring and wedding band had been stolen by the Luna carpet installers when they came back to re-stretch the carpet installed last Spring. That diamond was a milestone marker in my marriage. A gift from the heart of my beloved. A token of his love and faithfulness.
It can never be replaced. But our insurance company did reimburse us for the loss.
I've contemplated whether to replace it with another diamond ring.....I mean, it's not like I am a flashy gal! I do like a little bling bling here and there and the critters always appreciate when I put on earrings! Besides, it was paid for. Something else wouldn't be the same.
Costco had a sale on a 1.5 carat Eternity Ring with 25 diamonds around (BTW they told me that all of their diamonds are the same quality a VS-2 with an I color or better AND that they sell more diamonds then anything else....really? even TP?)
It can never replace what was taken. What was taken was a piece of earthy material. What wasn't taken was my beloveds heart. His love and faithfulness to me and our kids. His love and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.
The last carrots to come up were joined at the heart!!!!
